10-minute Portrait Club
10-Minute Portrait Club was a public drawing session that happened on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at SET Social in Peckham, SE London.
Anyone who wanted to could come and spend an hour drawing each other. One person volunteered to sit for 10 minutes, and we all drew them. We’d do this 5 times over, show our portraits, have a pint and a chat, then go home. It was a simple pleasure that brought people a little closer together.
The club was set up by Rachel from F.A.T. Studio. I was inspired to do this by my mum, who attends a portrait club in Totnes, Devon, run by Sarah Strachan. Sarah recommended I set up a local club, and I suggest you do the same.
